FAQ’s

  • New clients

To book your first class please create an account with Momence on the Pilates Society website. You can do this through our website under the “Book” or “Pricing” page. Once your account has been created you can book your class via the website or the Momence app.

  • Which class is suitable for me?

Our PS Foundations reformer class is the best place to start if you are new to Pilates or getting back into it after a break. We offer Private 1:1 and Semi-privates 2:1 sessions, these are a great way to feel more confident with using the reformer & learning the repertoire before jumping into a group class. If you’d like to do a semi-private and don’t have a partner we can try to find one for you. If you’re an experienced pilates goer you are welcome to attend all the classes, refer to our “Classes” page for more details.

  • Its my first class what do I do?

Please arrive 10 minutes early to be introduced to the studio, instructor and the equipment. It’s essential you are shown the reformer before the class start time so don’t be late!

  • What do I need to bring?

Wear comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely, water bottle and grip socks. Grip socks are mandatory and must be worn in all classes. You can purchase these for $20 in the studio.

  • I’m pregnant can I still join in classes?

You may attend all classes up until 16 weeks. Please notify your instructor prior to class. Beyond 16 weeks we ask you to only attend PS Reformer Foundations, PS Matwork and Stretch classes. We do ask that you be cleared by your GP before commencing exercise with us.

  • How do I cancel my booking?

If you cannot attend your class, please ensure you cancel at least 6 hours prior to the class start time, unless your class is between 5:30-8:00am it’s 8 hours notice. This must be done through the Pilates Society website or Momence app. We do not accept cancellations made by phone, text, email or social media.

  • Will I be charged for late cancel/no shows?

Late cancellations will result in loss of class that will automatically be deducted from your memberships or packs. No shows you will lose your session and a $15 no show fee will be charged plus 2.2% and $0.30. Please refer to T&Cs for more information.

  • What does it mean if i join the waitlist?

If the class shows as "WAITLIST", this means the class is fully booked but you can add yourself to the Waitlist.

Should a spot open up, you will be notified via email or text that you have been added to the class. You will be automatically added to the class up until 1 hour before the class time.

IMPORTANT - Treat your waitlist like a booking. Please monitor your waitlists like you would your bookings. We understand things change so if you know that you can no longer attend, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from the waitlist. By doing this you will avoid being added to the class and losing a pass (late cancellation and no-show policy applies).

Beware - Early morning waitlists! If you are on the waitlist for an early morning class, please set your alarm so that you have enough time to attend in case you have been added to the class overnight.
